ROBERT E. HOWARD's TYPEWRITER

This photo was taken by Philippe Diederich back in 1999 of REH's studio/room and the typewriter replica he wrote on.
It was in a modest porch that was closed in to fit his bed, writing desk and trunk of books /manuscripts.

In this little room all these immense tales were written about Conan, Kull, Bran Mak Morn, Red Sonya and an age undreamed of.

BRAK MAK MORNING

Got my Alter Ego 92 comps in from TwoMorrows.
As always, first rate articles of creators and their work edited by Roy Thomas.
Old Gulacy Elric pic was a highlight for me.
They should be in shops now.

MOMOA as CONAN?

He has the height, a better voice for Conan than Arnold and many seem to forget that he is also half German-Irish as well as Hawaiian (which gives him the bronze skin).

Many have criticized his build the most.

Hmmm... things just got interesting.

Barbarian:WIP 2009

Here's a digital painting that is in it's infancy. Just working out the rough forms. I drew directly on the Cintiq for the figure and weapons, then placed a scanned pencil drawing made with an old mechanical pencil behind.

I will add more as I continue and cleanup the figure. I wanted to capture the smile first and work from there after getting the general forms laid down.
