BATMAN THREE

4" by 17" Ink on Bristol
I did three versions of this pose.
One was for the LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT comic.
The second was a small rough color marker study.
Both have sold.
This is a much larger grey toned piece.

AVAILABLE at my new original art store front at bigcartel.com

CAPE

Gold ink, marker and india ink.

I always wanted to depict the cape as something that had some flexible structure, like an umbrella.
So when Batman moves it around, it is actually a terrifying and chaotic sight.
Imagine an umbrella suddenly reversing itself under harsh wind conditions.
It isn't soft, but edgy with small joints.
Like ... a bat!

JOKER

Excellent film! Only nitpick were the fight scenes and the still awkward cowl but the best Batman film to date!

Did this doodle in ten minutes - using Illustrator and P-shop.
